Tino & Marianne

Our Little World
A Toddler's Arrogance
This morning we were reading "The Miracle Ride" story from LWG1.

There comes the part where they find out the duck is broken.

Sarah says, "Well, I know Someone Who can fix it!..." I stopped reading and asked Alice, "Who can fix it?" -Expecting her to say, "Jesus!"

Instead, in typical childish pride of their own prowess, she determinedly declared, "Alice fix it!"

She put her hands on the picture of the duck and made "fixing" noises, turning and twisting her little hands around till she was satisfied that it was fixed and then sat back with the most content and proud look on her face. -She is a character!

...said the spider to the fly...
It's been forever that I've wanted to take a picture of a spider's web. Dunno why, but there's something appealingly melancholy about it.

I wanted a more dusty and furry looking web (almost went a sprinkled flour on this one to try and give it that appearance, but decided not to for the poor spider's sake...) but this one was just there asking me to snap a photo of it so I opted instead to spray a bit of water on it and here it is:

...and the ones I chose...
Ok, I confess, I can't pose! I'm like Chandler in "Friends", my face just tenses up and I can't seem to make a decent face. -much less a variety of faces...

...but here Tino had me laughing...

...so I'll just resign myself to either a half close-lipped smile or a goofy grin hidden under a hand. :D

"The glass" is most definitely half full...
Since I've now passed the halfway mark of my pregnancy, I thought it was time to take some pics.

I am big! 4 and a half months, and I look like I did at 6 months when pregnant with Alice. The potential size of this baby is frightening! -Maybe the growth will slow down... :D

Tino took the photos, chose these to post and fixed 'em up, so the credit for the fact that I'm making the same face in all of them goes to him .
