Our Little World
Out of the mouth of bears...

While reading Alice a story about how Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, she pointed to the donkey and asked me, "Mommy, is that Eeyore?" (Incase anyone is Pooh-illiterate, that would be the donkey from "Winnie the Pooh"...)

Her bed-time story a few nights ago was "Baby Jesus". I was at the part where Mary was riding the donkey on the long journey to Bethlehem, and being pregnant and about to pop myself, I sympathised with the difficulty Mary must have faced riding a donkey at this point in pregnancy. I was explaining to Alice that when a mommy has a baby in her tummy, it's very uncomfortable to ride on a donkey and that Mary was probably very tired. In her typical logical way, she looked up at me and suggested, "Mommy, take baby out, put baby on baby donkey!" Brilliant! Why didn't THEY think of that...
